Punch Drunk

Punch Drunk is a three-piece garage fuzz band from Freehold, NJ, made up of longtime friends John Gill, Nick “Boop” Elias, and Joe Verni.

The three have been playing music together in some form for more than a decade, which gives the band a chemistry that’s hard to fake. Their sound pulls from all over the place—Black Sabbath, Paul McCartney and The Beatles, Can, garage rock, psych, punk, and anything else that feels loud, weird, or interesting.

The result is a heavy, fuzzy, melodic sound that feels a lot bigger than a three-piece.

Officially forming Punch Drunk in 2024, the band has spent the last couple of years writing, recording, and playing shows across New Jersey and New York, building a live reputation around loud sets, big riffs, and a lot of energy.
